The Spa at The Madrid EDITION

Hidden beneath the historic Plaza de las Descalzas, just steps from Puerta del Sol, The Spa at The Madrid EDITION is an intimate, subterranean sanctuary designed by visionary hotelier Ian Schrager. Offering a striking departure from traditional wellness spaces, this ultra-chic retreat replaces clinical brightness with a moody, atmospheric design, enveloping guests in warm woods, dark stone, and soft candlelight. It serves as an exclusive, highly private cocoon for top management, creatives, and global executives who seek an immersive escape from the high-energy demands of the Spanish capital.

The philosophy of the spa centers on highly tailored, sensory-driven wellness, designed to yield immediate, visible results. Acknowledging the fast-paced schedules of its clientele, the facility partners with the prestigious Spanish science-led brand, Natura Bissé, to offer clinical-grade skincare. Furthermore, the treatments incorporate the signature EDITION Black Tea scent, exclusively crafted by the iconic fragrance house Le Labo. This combination of advanced cellular repair and bespoke aromatherapy ensures a comprehensive reset, rapidly alleviating jet lag, corporate stress, and urban fatigue.

The facilities are intentionally boutique, featuring just five specialist treatment suites to guarantee unparalleled privacy and an uncrowded atmosphere. Among these is an opulent couple’s suite equipped with a private steam room and an exclusive mud room. Before beginning their tailored therapies, executives are encouraged to decompress in the thermal suite, which boasts a traditional Finnish dry sauna and a purifying steam room. This strategic hydro-thermal circuit acts as the perfect physical transition, loosening tense muscles and preparing the mind for total sensory relaxation.
