Aurora Spa at Las Alcobas

Aurora Spa is the on-site spa at Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection Hotel, in Mexico City's Polanco district. The previous directory title, “Las Alcobas Mexico City Spa,” described the location but not the venue's current official name. The hotel and Marriott both identify the facility as Aurora Spa.

The spa is on the second floor of the hotel at Avenida Presidente Masaryk 390. Its official presentation centres on personalised treatment rather than a large resort circuit. Therapists tailor sessions to the guest's stated needs, and the current service categories include massage, facials, healing rituals and a scrub bar.

Published treatment information describes 60- and 90-minute massage options, full-body exfoliation using a choice of freshly prepared scrubs, and body wraps. The hotel connects the concept with regional ingredients and traditional approaches, while product information references Naturopathica, Cinq Mondes and Neal's Yard. Specific products and protocols may change, so confirm them for the selected appointment.

Aurora Spa should not be presented as having facilities that current sources do not document. The hotel lists a separate fitness centre on the third floor, but the spa pages reviewed do not promise a swimming pool, communal sauna, steam room or hydrotherapy circuit. Guests seeking wet facilities should ask the spa directly what is included with their treatment.

The hotel asks resident guests to arrive five minutes before treatment. On the treatment day it says a spa tray with robe, slippers and a bath or body wash is delivered to the guest. Local clients are asked to say when reserving whether they hope to shower before or after the appointment so that a room can be made available when possible. This is a request rather than a guaranteed private changing facility.

The official information asks guests who need to cancel to contact Aurora Spa or Las Alcobas reception at least four hours before the appointment. The English menu and Spanish web copy differ on whether a late cancellation may incur a full or 50-percent charge, so the exact rule must be confirmed in the written booking confirmation rather than inferred from this directory page.

Before reserving, request the current treatment name, duration, price in Mexican pesos, taxes, service charge, gratuity practice, therapist preference and access conditions. Ask whether hotel facilities are included for non-resident clients and whether a deposit is required. The hotel's main telephone is +52 55 3300 3900.

Disclose allergies, pregnancy, recent surgery, injury, skin sensitivity and any condition affected by pressure, heat, exfoliation, essential oils or active skincare ingredients. Ask for a patch test where appropriate and seek independent medical advice when a treatment may be contraindicated. Spa services are not medical care.

The former directory photograph showed a tropical pool bar and could not be tied to the urban Polanco property. It has been removed to prevent a misleading representation. The hotel publishes current professional imagery, but Spa Awards has no recorded reuse licence for it. Six current, rights-cleared images are required, ideally including the entrance, reception, treatment room, massage, scrub or wrap setup and a contextual hotel view.
