ABOUT THE SPA

Opened in 2024 as the world’s first Janu property, Janu Wellness at Janu Tokyo is the crown jewel of the Azabudai Hills district. Occupying four floors, it is the largest wellness facility of any hotel in Tokyo. While it shares the DNA of its sister brand, Aman, Janu focuses on "Ananda"—the Sanskrit word for joy—emphasizing a playful, spirited, and communal approach to health.

The 2026 philosophy is anchored in "Active Longevity." The sanctuary treats wellness as a lifestyle rather than an appointment. Guests can start their day with a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session, move to a private Hammam ritual for detoxification, and finish with a cold-pressed juice in the wellness lounge. The 2026 menu has introduced Bio-Hacking recovery sessions, utilizing red-light therapy and compression boots to assist travelers in recovering from the effects of travel in record time.

A unique feature is the Banya & Hammam Suites. Unlike standard hotel saunas, these are massive, private-hire "social spas" with their own cold plunges and lounge areas, allowing groups of friends or partners to enjoy a three-hour thermal journey in total seclusion. The facility also houses a Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber, a rare luxury in a hotel setting, used to accelerate healing and mental clarity.

The staff at Janu are "Movement and Wellness Curators," a mix of elite athletes, nutritionists, and world-class therapists. They are trained to deliver Integrative Bodywork, which combines deep tissue manipulation with stretching and breathwork. By blending the grand scale of a high-end athletic club with the refined service of an Aman-designed sanctuary, Janu Wellness remains the definitive choice for the next generation of luxury travelers in Tokyo.

Social and High-Performance

Janu Wellness is inherently social, marking a departure from the "hushed silence" of traditional Aman spas. While Aman is about retreat and solitude, Janu is about connection. The wellness center is designed with shared spaces that encourage interaction, such as the grand Banya suites where friends can experience heat rituals together, or the vibrant group fitness studios. It is a "sanctuary of energy" where the communal experience of health—whether in the pool or the lounge—is treated as a luxury in itself.

The facility is the epitome of high-performance wellness. This isn't just a place for a relaxing massage; it is a 4,000-square-meter powerhouse of physical optimization. From the specialized boxing ring to the advanced "Outrace" functional training frames and clinical-grade recovery tools, every inch of Janu Wellness is engineered for results. It caters to the "Modern Achiever" who views wellness as a competitive edge, offering treatments and fitness programs that prioritize strength, vitality, and visible rejuvenation over mere pampering.
